Something a Business Law teacher taught me back in the late 1960s.
(paraphrasing)
"When you are young and starting out, it is imperative to use debt to establish financial creds.
Once you earn enough to stay out of debt, continue to use debt to improve your fin-creds.
Never forget that money is power. Debt is akin to servitude."
